Baby Alex : Newborn Photographer

This is Alex.  And YES he is a CUTIE POOTIE!   His Mom hired me to take some photos in his baptism outfit, but I couldn’t resist the urge to shoot some fun stuff too.  Just to let you know, I have never once shot inside with a light set-up.  This was the first time and YES, I did learn alot from just one shoot.  I must THANK my friend & fellow photographer Karen of Karen Shweiky Photography for not only bringing her light, but also assisting me.  I shoot natural light as much as possible, but I wanted to push myself on this shoot to step outside my comfort zone.  Probably not a bright idea, since I don’t really have a comfort zone with photographing kids inside.  ha ha.  I’ve only photographed a couple of small babies, so it was something different & fun.  Karen . . . THANK YOU for bringing your light set-up & helping me.  You are toooooo SWEET!

OK, so lets get to the photos.  We started off with this cool little monkey hat . . . here are some of my favorites!

I like this because Alex looked like he was hiding his face from my camera, but he actually was probably tired of holding his head up.

That monkey hat made me laugh more than once during the shoot.  It’s just so cool.

I now call him ALEXANDER THE ADORABLE . . .

undefined

Oooooooohhhhh, I just love this photo.  I think he saw Adrienne (his Mom) right behind me and he got excited.

undefinedundefinedundefined

I love toning photos to a creamy color.

undefined

This is another awesome hat.  Owl Hat.

undefined

This is definitely one of my MOST favorite images of the day.  It makes me SMILE BIG!

undefinedundefined

This is Alex on his changing table and I had to grab a photo because the wall behind him was so great.  I like this pic because he actually looks like a monkey trying to climb…ha ha.

undefined

Since my baby has 4 legs and fur, I am not familiar with moving little ones around and plus I fear I will drop & break them….ha.ha.  Adrienne was a big help to me in moving her little one around.  Although I snapped this photo as she was readjusting Alex, I LOVE IT!  When I saw it, I knew it was keeper.

undefined

And this one too!  LOVE IT Adrienne . . .

undefined

This is a huge giraffe pillow or blanket or something . . . all I know is it was AWeSOmE~  So of course, photos on it was a must.

undefined

I took several and when I flipped through the images really fast on my computer screen, it made me laugh.  He was moving his legs & arms up and down.  It was hilarious.

undefined

Alex always responded when he heard his Mommie’s voice . . .

undefined

Heeeeeeeee Heeee hee….I laugh.  Mocha has about 3 or 4 sock monkeys too Alex!!!!

undefined

These are just a few photos I took around Alex’s room . . .

Although neither Adrienne or Steve was prepared for a photo, I insisted!  I hope they don’t mind that I’m sharing this photo.  It’s just a casual “beautiful” photo of the three of them.  We are going to plan a family shoot later, but I had to get one on this day because I just had so much fun with them.  THANK YOU Adrienne & Steve for trusting me with your precious little one.  I can’t wait to get more photos as he grows.   You guys are AWE-some!
