senior shoot : victoria : part II

August 12, 2010 | portraitsseniors

The second part of Victoria’s shoot was amazing.   We hung out at the beach, one of my favorite places.  Victoria and Josh spent most of the time just joking around, which I was quick to document with my camera.  But there was also time for me to get some incredible photos of them individually.  These are some of my favorite images of Victoria . . .

Love those boots girl!

Candid shots like this make me happy . . .

Sometimes I like to to shoot with a more artistic eye . . . just because.

Hello Miley Cyrus (hee hee) – just kidding Victoria.  Sorry, I can’t get over how much you guys look alike . . . except I think you are prettier.

Girl . . . you are so silly.

I love this photo I snapped as I caught Victoria off guard . . .

One of my FAVORITE photos of the shoot.  Girl . . . people pay to have lips as awesome as yours, be proud.  Aaaahhhhh, beautiful light & a little bit of wind . . . I just love shooting at the beach!

Of course sometimes the wind gets bad and the hair gets uncontrollable, but I just laugh and keep shooting because photos like these are still keepers in my book.

Love it . . . shooting with light this beautiful & a girl this gorgeous makes my heart SMILE BIG.

I really enjoy that my clients feel so comfortable around me that having FUN & even being a little goofy just seems so natural.

B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L . . .

Here are three more of my MOST FAVORITE images from the shoot.  I had taken some great photos of Josh in front of this tree, so I just had to get Victoria here as well.  I really like something about the somber feel of these first two photos.   Even though the images really don’t portray Victoria’s HAPPY personality, they are just powerful to me.

Love it . . .

Now this is Victoria’s personality . . . all smiles.

I try to shoot with natural light as much as possible.  On shoots like engagements, families, kids or seniors I do not even bring my flash along for the shoot.  So I have to thank Teresa for providing a small burst of light so that I could get this last shot in the dark . . .

Victoria . . .  thank you for rockin’ your shoot!

senior shoot : josh : part I

August 11, 2010 | portraitsseniors

This is Josh.  He’s a little bit shy and a whole lot of funny.   Here are a few of my favorites from the first part of his shoot.

Victoria got Josh to strike a pose for me . . . then he started laughing because he couldn’t keep a straight face.

Josh . . . thanks for being serious for a few shots.

Th

We found this really cool tree that had washed up on the beach.

Josh and his funny faces had me cracking up.  Victoria says he is quite the comedian.

More awesome photos of Josh to come later this week.

senior shoot : victoria : part I

August 10, 2010 | portraitsseniors

This is Victoria.  Her senior shoot began with an unexpected rainstorm and although the humidity was awful, her hair still looked amazing.   I have so many favorites that I am going to blog her images in two different posts.  Here is Part I of her shoot and a few of my favorites.

One thing I quickly noticed about Victoria is that she and Miley Cyrus have very similar features.

While I was photographing Victoria, I noticed when she smiled that she had something blue in her mouth.  It was gum . . . ha ha . . . I had her put it in the trash.  Silly girl!

Victoria . . . You have crazy beautiful eyes and such a great smile!

I love this background with the red bricks.

I just love how the close-ups turned out with that redish background.

Hello beautiful !

Cute shoes . . .

senior shoot : victoria + josh

August 9, 2010 | portraitsseniors

This is Victoria and Josh.  They drove to Savannah so I could do their senior shoots.  Upon arriving at our first destination, I noticed raindrops falling on my windshield.  Within minutes an unexpected rainstorm came and we all sat in the cars waiting it out.  I checked the weather on my phone constantly and about an hour later, the sky started to clear.  Although we got a late start, that didn’t hinder me from getting all the images I wanted and more.  These two were amazing in front of my camera.  Below are a few images I grabbed of them together.  I have images from both Victoria’s and Josh’s shoots that I will post later this week, but for now I wanted to share how cute they are together.

Before leaving the first location, we walked out into a field to get a couple photos by this really cool tree that had recently gotten stuck by lightning.   Also, if you notice in the background, you can see 8 or 10 deer feeding.

Here are a few of my favorites from the beach . . .

Josh really likes to pick on Victoria . . .

If you look closely at the first two photos, you will see Josh making faces while I was shooting . . . ha.ha.  Of course nothing got past Victoria, she knew he was misbehaving.

Josh, you are so silly.

I think they both have some silliness in them . . .

Victoria wore cowboy boots for part of her shoot and  I thought they were awesome!  I got very excited taking pictures of her feet.   After she wrote her and Josh’s names in the sand, I had to get this photo.

Josh didn’t want Victoria to out do him, so he got creative with their names as well.  He used sticks to write out his & Victoria’s names.

We teased Josh because the letter “T” was so big . . .

Thank you guys for trusting me . . . I have some AMAZING photos to share from each of your shoots later this week.

sarabeth + kyle : wedding part ll

August 4, 2010 | slideshowsweddings

Here is the second part of photos I wanted to share from SaraBeth & Kyle’s wedding.   These two are amazing together and whenever I photograph them, they are all smiles.  Thank you both for being so amazing and thank you again for trusting me to capture the memories of your special day.  The reception place, Elements Bistro & Grill had a very cool lime green couch, which matched the color in SaraBeth’s flowers.  I definitely wanted a couple photos on it.  Below are some of my favorite images from the second part of their wedding.

This is one of my favorite photos from the night.  I saw the image and fell in love . . . it was something about the lighting, the background and OH YEA…SaraBeth & Kyle looking “SO IN LOVE” during their first dance!

Since they didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, they opted to take 15 min during the receptioin for me to take some photos.  These are definitely some of my most favorites of the day.  Right below is the the first photo I snapped . . . I love Kyle’s expression, he is so happy & I think this photo shows it.

Another FAVORITE . . .  SaraBeth you have gorgeous eyes and a beautiful smile!

The photo on the right shows more of their true personalities.  (they both love to smile)

And I just love these three photos . . .

I had to include these pics for Kyle.  SaraBeth & him had tried “twirling” during the engagement shoot and we mostly laughed.  But I think we had more success on the wedding day.   A++ Kyle.

Kyle is already an amazing husband.

The reception place, Elements Bistro & Grill was AMAZING.  I could have taken photos of them for hours inside this place.  The architecture and design inside is so cool.

There was a lot of laughing and dancing the entire night, thanks to great music by DJ Shannon Harville.

SaraBeth & Kyle were laughing & smiling all night long . . .

Girl, I know you were getting tired, but you STILL ROCKED!

A few more detail shots to share that I didn’t share in the previous post . . .

I love the pink & lime green colors . . .

One last image (another favorite) before the slideshow . . .

Congrats SaraBeth and Kyle!  luv you guys!
