guest sign-in books

I love these books!  They’re a beautiful & modern way to remember who were guests at your wedding.  So throw away that old book with the lines in it…who wants to sit and read a list of names of the people who were there.  Have some fun.  Put one of these books on your guests sign-in table and watch people laugh, smile & high-five each other as they leave you a personally written message or wish, while still letting you know…”YES I was at your wedding!”.   I’ve gotten so much positive feedback from the brides and grooms who’ve chosen these books, it seems they make wonderful coffee table books for a newly married couple.  If you need a laugh or smile one day, just pull it out and revisit all the wonderful things your family & friends wrote to you on this very special day.

Another thing that makes these books so awesome is I custom design them with my clients favorites images from their engagement shoot.  You pick the images and let me do the rest.  I make sure and leave plenty of white space in the design layout, so there is space for all your guests to write short messages, not just sign their name.

The photos are hand mounted on these heavy matted pages, which gives the book a nice sturdy feel.  Also, these books also come with a wrap around cover that matches the printing on the front of the book…attractive to the eye while also protecting the book from scratches and such.

Some images are showcased large, but still leaving that white space for comments & friendly wedding advice. :)

This book is a 10″ x 10″ so when open the layout is nice and large and the images are powerful!  These books are available in other sides also and although I like the square books, I always let me clients decide.  :)

I also like to include special pages for both the bride & groom separately.  Here is a peak at what a bride’s page might look like.

These books are fresh & stylish and I think their just simply COOL!  Only the best and most wonderful products for my AWESOME clients!

event cards for brides & grooms

February 28, 2010 | FAQ : clientsengagementsweddings

I blogged about the topic of EVENT CARDS last year on my old blog, but I wanted to update the information for any new brides & grooms or potential clients.  These “event cards” are complimentary from me and the amount of excitement they create is worth it.  Not only do my clients love them, but I’ve had numerous guests approach me at the reception with their compliments and kind words.

These small cards 2″ x 3″ can be made vertical or horizontal and fit easily into a small purse or wallet.  As a personal touch, I always include my bride & groom’s favorite image from their engagement shoot.   Along with the photo, the cards have all the necessary information for accessing their online wedding gallery.  Guests can go to the link and sign up their email, its free.  Once the photo gallery is online, my lab will send an email notification to all the people who’ve registered.  This completely takes the stress off my bride, groom and their parents of having to notify friends & family of the photo gallery link.  My past brides have raved about this, so it is a must at every wedding I shoot.  If it makes my brides & grooms happy and makes them smile….it makes me happy & smiley too.

marlie – part II

February 25, 2010 | kidsportraits

Marlie…she’s my new friend.  I always have a great connection with kids.  I’m not sure why kids love me so much, but they just do.  Maybe it’s because I do “not” have any “human” kids and therefore I still have a ton of PATIENCE with them & still have most of my SANITY…ha…ha.  (Although my 4 legged – 8lb child often makes me question my sanity…LOL.)  Anyways, kids usually like hangin’ out with me…probably because I’m cool, or as I like to say “I’m kewl”…ha.ha.  No matter why they like me, I love it because it makes photographing them so easy.  With Marlie, it was easy & fun.  We instantly hit things off and had a blast walking around the park & just talking, like two friends.  Marlie is very much into the arts, which I love…so I asked her to bring anything that makes her happy and smile.  Here are some of my favorites from the second part of our shoot.  Any time I’m asked to photograph for headshots or portrait shots, I ALWAYS ask for extra time.  I encourage my clients to allow for some time so that I can get some candid images that are fun & fresh.

For those wondering….YES, FUN is mandatory on my photo shoots.  =:)

Marlie LOVES reading and I think that is an important part of her personality.  Capturing this was important to me.  When I asked her to kick back with her books for a few random photos, she immediately jumped at the opportunity.  I snapped away and when I was done, I called for her.  She looked straight up at me, smiled and said “I was really reading my book” and she laughed.  Of course, I laughed too.  I loved that she felt that comfortable hanging out with me on her photo shoot.

A quick change of wardrobe for some last shots.  I love Marlie’s BLUE eyes!  I could photograph her eyes all day.

Another favorite…

Marlie…thank you for being so AWESOME on our shoot.  You are going to do great things.  Keep reaching for those stars and keep dreaming big.  xoxo.

marlie – part I

February 23, 2010 | kidsportraits

Here are a few of my favorites from the first part of my shoot with Marlie.  She is a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e !  We hung out at the park…we laughed, we talked and even made some new doggie friends.  It was an absolutely gorgeous day in the park and what a great day for a photo shoot.  We had a blast!

I almost didn’t post this photo because she just looks so grown up here…but it was too beautiful not to share.

These are a few “fun” photos and ended up being some of my favorite images of Marlie.  I’m a hat girl myself, so I love anyone who can work a hat, especially a cool hat like this.

Marlie, thanks for being so awesome and sharing your fun personality & love of hats with me.  YOU ROCK!

Another favorite…I just love this “sweet” look on her face.  So cute Marlie!

marlie – preview

February 21, 2010 | kidsportraits

This is Marlie…a lot of personality in a small package. She likes punk rock and the 80’s. She wasn’t even born in the 80’s, which I think makes her even more cool. We had a blast on her photo shoot today. We laughed, we talked & hung out in the park. More “awe-some” pics to come!
