Mocha wanted to send a Merry Christmas message out to everyone . . .

(And PS…those antlers are not “photoshopped” into the image. I actually bought a headband with the antlers & Santa hat on them. After a lot of assistance from my sister, we got Mocha to wear them. It was extremely CRAZY trying to get one good photo because he was growling most of the time and jumping off the rock into the water. However, it was worth it to get this photo for our 2011 Christmas cards.)

This first photo will give you an idea of how much FUN I had with Lesley on her Senior Shoot. The suitcase just screams “I’m FUN & SASSY”. And obviously a random woman thought so too, as she stopped us in the street to ask Lesley where she got her suitcase. It definitely makes a statement and I had to photograph it. Lesley found my need to photograph her suitcase quite amusing & entertaining, but the photo is cool.
I always tell my Seniors to bring multiple outfits and not to forget their accessories, such as a change of shoes, necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets, etc. For girls, this sometimes means a big bag and especially if we are not in an area where trips to the car is convenient. Lesley brought all her stuff in this suitcase and it worked very well as we walked around Savannah.

And this is a large pouch that Lesley put all her jewelry in. I love the outside colors of the bag and it had multiple pockets inside to keep everything organized & separated.

OK, enough about her suitcase and jewelry bag . . . let’s get to some more images of the very beautiful and very smart Lesley~! Here are some of my favorites from the second part of her 2012 Senior Shoot.

Everyone who knows me will understand exactly why this photo was taken. I had asked Lesley to please text her Mom and touch base on our timeline. When she pulled out her iPhone, I ooooooohhhhh’d and smiled. I knew I really liked this girl. So of course, a photo was a must for me, just because.

And random shoe shots are always fun to me . . .

Lesley confessed she rarely wears heels around all her guy friends because she is so tall, so I made sure to document how very tall and very awesome she looks in heels. And Lesley . . . I am sure your boyfriend and all your other guy friends would not care if you threw on a pair of heels once and awhile. (wink wink)

It was getting dark very fast, the sun had already set and at this time of year that is quick. However, with the help of a couple street lights, I was able to shoot a few last images. The following are ALL extra favorites of mine from the session. (For any photographers interested : Yes, it was dark at this point but I was shooting with my Canon 85mm 1.2L II USM lens @ 1.2L and the images are beautiful to me~!)

This is definitely one of my favorite portraits.

Lesley . . . never stop smiling girl. I am sure it brings happiness to all those around you.

Silly girl. YOU R FUN~!

Here are the very last photos of my Senior Session with Lesley. I purposely asked her to make me laugh and she did. Very few people can make silly faces and still look beautiful. Thank you Lesley for being a good sport and THANK YOU again for trusting me to document these very important portraits of your Senior Year 2012~!

For weeks the only communication I had with Lesley was through email. We booked her 2012 Senior Session over the internet. I was super impressed because I never once communicated with her Mom. Lesley was handling all the details with me herself and I knew from our interaction that she was extremely smart and independent. When I finally spoke to her on the phone, I was blown away at how nice and very respectful she was. It was later when she found me on facebook that I realized this girl was as GORGEOUS on the outside as I had come to know she was on the inside. I am so excited to share some of her photos and because I had so very many favorites, I’m going to divide my blog post into two parts.
Although our original (indoor) location fell through the day before, I assured Lesley that I would get AMAZING images for her no matter where I did the shoot. And where did I take these awesome images? It’s a wall right beside a dumpster. We laughed at first because of the smell, but the wall was just too cool and Lesley said she was OK shooting there. I’m sure my quick prayers were answered because after the first few minutes the smell seemed to go away. And this wall made for some great images.
Lesley . . . thank you for trusting me with your Senior Portraits~! You really do ROCK girl~!

Love it~!

We must have talked about her boots for half an hour, so I had to document them. Love . . . love . . . LOVE them~!

I always like my photography to be reflective of my client’s personalities. Lesley is a HAPPY & SMILEY person, all the time. When I asked her not to smile, it was hard for her, but I did grab one photo and I simply love it.

However, this photo definitely shows HAPPY SMILEY Lesley.

Lesley . . . U R absolutely beautiful~!

Lesley coordinated ALL her outfits with earrings, rings, necklaces, shoes, etc. etc. I love this long hanging necklace.

This carriage was definitely not made for tall people.

When I say tall, I do mean tall. Lesley is tall and slender 5′ 9″ and those heels must have added another 4 inches. I did feel like a midget in my flip flops walking beside her.

The green background was just too awesome with her red shirt, so Lesley endured the bright sun for me.

More images coming tomorrow . . .
