FAQ

How do I book a date?

To securely reserve a date, I require a 50% non-refundable retainer and a signed contract.

What is your style of shooting?

I am Lifestyle Photographer who loves shooting with natural light.  Please take a look at my website galleries or my blog to see some of my work.  I love capturing raw emotions and unposed candid moments that will truly reflect your love and the connection you share.  I try to document Wedding days as unobtrusively as possible.

Do you shoot with Professional Camera Gear?

YES.  I shoot with top of the line Canon DSLR cameras, multiple lenses, flashes, etc.  I do carry back-up equipment as well.

How do we get access to our Wedding Photos?

I provide every client with a Private Online Wedding Gallery where you are able to DOWNLOAD all your beautiful photos.  These are High-Resolution Image Files and do not contain a watermark or logo.  Once I have the images uploaded, you will receive an email from me with a GALLERY LINK and instructions.  You will have immediate access to view & download.

When will our Online Gallery be available?

Wedding Galleries are up usually up within 3-4 weeks of your Wedding date, however during busy wedding season the timeline can be 5-6 weeks.  I do provide clients with a sneak peek the week following their wedding.

Do we get the High-Resolution Wedding Image Files?

Yes. Clients who hire me do receive all the “Final Edited High-Resolution JPEG Image Files” in a Private Online Downloadable Gallery.  As a courtesy, Cassandra-M Photography will host this gallery for 90 [ninety] days online for you to view and download your photos. You are welcome to purchase additional months if you would like your Private Gallery to remain online longer. I also include a “Personal Use License Agreement” which allows you the rights to print from a lab of your choice.  You still have the option of purchasing prints/products from my Professional Lab as well.

Do you provide clients with RAW images?

No.

Can we share our images on Social Media?

Absolutely.  Social media [Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc] are a big part of my marketing.  I encourage you to share your photos . . . I only ask that you please tag me, say a kind word or give me Photo Credit.  Thank You in advance.

Do we receive any black & white images?

As a complimentary service, I will pick some of my favorite images and desaturate these images and include as a bonus.  These are photos that I feel are more powerful and evoke more emotion when they are void of color.  This is not a true black & white, but my toning has a softer, warmer & creamy appearance.   It is more a modern version of the original black and white photo.  [see my website gallery to view samples]  Also, once you download your gallery of photos, you are welcome to convert any of the color photos you like into B/W and print from a lab of your choice.

Do you edit our images?

I try to shoot the best possible images straight out of my camera, but working in different lighting situations with various backgrounds can affect the appearance of a photo.  Therefore, YES, I do edit all your photos before I deliver the final files & some photos do have minimum Photoshop retouching.  All your photos are checked to make sure the overall lighting, color toning, as well as the skin toning is consistent.  I do “not” include extensive “photoshopping” on my photos, so if you are interested in very detailed editing, I am happy to discuss this beforehand – there will be additional editing fees.  Also, please pay attention to the FAQ “Do you Photoshop tan-lines or sunburns?”.

Do you photoshop tan-lines or sunburns?

I try my best to edit & color correct skin tones when possible, but unfortunately, I can not include time for editing tan-lines or sunburns on a normal wedding edit.  This would fall under “detailed editing” and will incur additional fees.  I try to educate my clients before they arrive on the importance of sunscreen and being careful not to get burned.

Do you have an assistant or second photographer on the day of the wedding?

This will depend on your Wedding Collection, but I will have an assistant or second photographer, if needed.  This is discussed before you book with me.

Do you use professional labs?

Absolutely.  I am partnered with some of the most respected Professional Photography Companies in the US.  I have professional labs for all my Photographic Prints, for my Professional High-End Albums and for my Professional Canvas & Metal Prints.

Do you provide Wedding Albums?

Yes.  Some Wedding Collections include albums, however, albums can also be purchased “Al la Carte” after you receive your Wedding Gallery.  My Wedding Albums are these gorgeous, modern albums that are handcrafted by my professional partner and custom designed with your favorite images.  The final design and layout will be approved by you before production begins.  Album delivery is normally a 6-8 week process for design and production, but may vary depending on busy wedding season.

Do you provide engagement shoots if we are out of town?

Yes.  I am happy to book an engagement session.  You will receive a reduced Session Fee if you have booked your Wedding with me.

Do you need a shot list?

There is no need to provide me with a detailed list of photos, this only hinders the creative process on the day.  I will thoroughly document details and unobtrusively capture the special moments on your wedding day.  However, I do send my clients an email prior to their Wedding Date asking for a list of Formal Family Photos they wish to have.

How many Final Images will we receive?

For Weddings, I usually average about 75-85 Final Photos per hour, so for an 8 hr wedding, your would receive approx 600-680+ Final Images.

Do you help with the Wedding Day Schedule?

Yes.  If you have a wedding planner, which I highly recommend…I will work closely with them to assure we have enough time for photos and you can feel confident that your day will be thoroughly documented without feeling overwhelmed or rushed.  If you are not working with a planner, I will try to connect with your Day-of-Coordinator or you personally to create the best schedule possible.

Do you recommend a Bride & Groom “First Look”?

This is up to you, as a couple.  However, I do feel from a “professional view point” that a First Look is BEST.  It allows the couple intimate moments that only they will share and gives them some alone time, that it not possible the rest of the day.  I am happy to elaborate more on this with potential clients.  The First Look Photos are always some of my favorites.  There are some Bride & Grooms who prefer not to do a First Look and I am happy to accommodate whatever you want.  I will still get AMAZING images either way.

What if you have to cancel?

I have never canceled on a client or missed a wedding [knock on wood].  However, if something out of my control occured, I would make sure you have a Photographer that I “Trust & Respect” to take care of you.  I would make sure you were 100% happy in the end.

Are you available to meet in person?

Absolutely.  If you come to Key West prior to your Wedding, whether it is months or just days before, I am HAPPY to meet you guys and answer any questions you may have.  Key West has many awesome spots that offer live music, amazing atmospheres, great food and an assortment of refreshing beverages.  *My favorites are iced coffees or craft cocktails, but I am flexible.

Where are you located?

I live on the beautiful island of Key West, Florida . . . and YES I am a full-time resident of the island.  I consider myself a destination wedding photographer on one of the most amazing little islands in the USA.  #OneHumanFamily

Do you travel for Weddings?

Absolutely~! I love traveling and always welcome Weddings outside Key West….however, Travel Rates & Fees do apply.  Weddings outside of the Florida Keys require a minimum of an 8 hour Collection or more.  Please contact me directly for more information.

Do you have Insurance?

YES!  Absolutely.  Most Key West venues already have my information on file, but I am happy to provide your venue with anything they need.
