Passport…check. Camera gear…check. Enthusiasm & excitement…check. I seemed to remember the important things to bring to Mexico. Things not brought included enough clothes, a curling iron, hair accessories, jewelry, extra flip flops and the list sadly goes on. No worries however, I was not going to let anything spoil this trip. I had been looking forward to shooting this wedding in Mexico for almost a year. A destination wedding on the island of Las Caletas, near Puerto Vallarta. It was as beautiful and amazing as I had imagined over and over.
My dearest Heather and Tim . . . words cannot express how much I love & appreciate you guys. THANK YOU so much for trusting me with such an important task of documenting your special day with your family & friends. I thank each of them as well, for warmly welcoming me and treating me like family. I hope you enjoy this preview.
I love how the staff comes out to wave and greet you as you arrive by boat.
Heather’s dress was AMAZING. I photographed it in several different areas around the guest house, but hanging from this old wooded basket was my favorite.
I had so much fun photographing their rings, it was easy to be creative with such beautiful surroundings. I ended up torn between two images, but the top one is my most favorite.
Loved all the colors, especially in the flowers.
Heather . . . YOU ARE GORGEOUS!!!!
I have a liking of feathers myself and frequently you will see them decorating my hair. I smiled BIG when I saw this. Heather chose a flower hairpiece that was accented with feathers. love love love!!!!
Heather was not at all nervous, she was giddy with laughter.
Dear Tim . . . YOU ROCK! Thank you for enduring my camera and moments when I made you pose. You were awesome.
Heather eagerly awaiting before the ceremony and she was stunning . . .
Tim was also very calm.
Heather and her Dad both were teary eyed. Love this moment.
This was the first kiss and then Heather followed it up with a second kiss. Kate and William have nothing on you guys!
These are some more of my favorite images from the day. I gave Heather & Tim a few moments alone before taking their bride & groom photos. I think I will call this series of images “So honey, what did you do today?” . . .
Heather and Tim. Thanks for being amazing.
Great smile Heather and I am loving the smile/smirk on Tim’s face.
Another flower photo, but I love the two boats in the background. There were some people out fishing at sunset. I blurred the boats out of course, but I still wanted to keep a hint of them in the photo.
I took a couple photos of Heather’s bouquet at night. One image on the stone steps . . .
And another image where I put the bouquet in a tree . . .
First dance. Tim’s facial expression is priceless. I imagine him saying “I want this moment to last forever“.
And YES, there were fire dancers!!!
On the boat ride home. HAPPINESS!!!!
