Mariah and Medgar : Wedding Day-After Session

I can’t say enough wonderful things about these two.  I fell in love with Mariah when I photographed her Bridal Shoot.  Later that day, I met Medgar and the three of us became friends when I shot their Engagement Session.  I didn’t think it was possible to like these two any more, until I met their family & friends on their Wedding Day.  I was overwhelmed at how their parents and other family reached out to me, it was like I was part of their family.  It felt really nice to be so appreciated and treated with such kindness.  Thank you Green & Harrison families (and friends)!!!

Today I am excited to share Mariah & Medgar’s Day-After Shoot.  Because they chose not to see each other before the ceremony, we were limited on the amount of time we had for photos afterwards.  As with so many weddings, shooting all the formal family photos & bridal party photos after the ceremony can leave little time for the bride & groom photos, especially if the reception is at a different location.  Photos were very important to Mariah, so I suggested they have a Bride/Groom Shoot the “day-after” their wedding.  This would allow them to be more relaxed and get images at different locations as well. Wedding days can be hectic and the time seems to pass so quickly.  Shooting photos the “day-after” allows the bride and groom to spend more time with their family & friends on their wedding day . . . AND they still get amazing wedding images!

Here are just a few of my favorites of Mariah + Medgar’s Day-After Session . . .

Love this photo . . . I found this green wooden gate when I scouted the area earlier and it made for some very cool photos.

Mariah and I both squealed when we passed this red door.  We were thinking so much alike and knew this was a great backdrop for a couple photos.

LOVE . . . LOVE . . . LOVE!

Helllloooo beautiful . . .

A few photos in front of the  fountain . . .

A favorite . . .

I saw these rose petals on the ground from an earlier wedding or another photo shoot, not sure which.  I smiled and decided to take a few photos of Mariah sitting in the grass with all the rose pedals around her.  And she was gorgeous!  So thank you to whoever left the rose petals, they helped make some great photos.

Mariah, inside and out . . . you are beautiful girl!

Another favorite.

This sign had special meaning to Mariah & Medgar.  Lafayette is where they met.

Medgar, I have to comment on how amazing you were to deal with us two girls for all these photos.  You were AWESOME!  THANK YOU . . .
