Family Photography : Makinsey, Karsen, Terri & Phil : part three

Here are some last photos from my recent Tybee Family shoot. When Karsen and Makinsey aren’t play fighting, they are sharing some “sibling love”. This photo was so cool to me, even with Makinsey’s hair blowing in the wind. I believe this was an area on Tybee Island beach was used in the filming last year of the movie with Miley Cyrus called “The Last Song“. . .

Here Karsen is being a goof ball . . . he made me LAUGH so hard.

Terri & Phil said this area on Tybee Island held a special place in their hearts because it is actually where they got married.

Terri’s Dad was hanging out with them so we had to include him in a few photos as well.

So I love shooting at sunset and on this day the moon actually was already up pretty high as it began to get dark. This is one of my most favorite images. Karsen’s hand on the left & Makinsey’s hand on the right. love it!

I took several photos with the moon in the background . . .

It was getting dark really fast, but the light was still beautiful. Needless to say I wanted just a few more photos, Makinsey & Karsen were just too awesome to photograph. So I popped on my Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM lens and kept shooting until well after sunset. It was almost dark, but no worries, I managed to get some amazing photos with that lens at last light.

Karsen is definitely the comedian of the family. Although these next photos will probably not end up framed on a wall, they are photos I love. Karsen was too funny throughout the photo shoot. AND . . . I love giving parents extra candid images that truly reflect their kid’s personalities. The next few photos do exactly that.

Since I am a natural light shooter, when the sun is down and it is dark, normally my shooting stops. However, I wanted a couple last shots of the whole family.
