I LOVE water…I love to drink it…smell it…look at it…and shoot around it. The ocean makes me very happy. So of course, I had to finish the shoot by the Gulf. We were doing the shoot early in the afternoon because….well, babies have a sleep schedule. When we got there we were blessed with overcast skies, which made me even more happy. By the way, I love LIGHT too…but just the right light and this was the “right” light.
When we arrived we walked over to this huge piece of driftwood. Eisley was moving and did not really want to sit still. As I glanced around, I notice some flowers and did a double…no, did a triple take on what I was seeing. Anyone familiar with Key West knows that it is very rare to find a field of flowers. So what did we do? We plopped Eisley right down in the middle. Eisley immediately settled down and was completely happy…picking the flowers. ha ha. It was in a photographer’s dream. I was happy. I had my ocean, my light and now flowers. It was too good to be true. I am still happy.
I love this picture of Eisley. Look at her tongue. Too funny. She was watching James hold the flower up with such concentration and amazement.
Robyn put a flower in her hair and I made her say “cheeseeeeee”. I just love this photo.
Attention : two people in this photo are “not” looking at the photographer. Two people in this photo are looking at a “rock”…can you guess which two it is? (LOL…just picking at you James)
OK…so I will just take photos of the person that “is” paying attention to me. LOL again.
Love these next two shots.
Ahhhhhh. Ocean…the right light…flowers…and a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l- baby. A perfect day!
There’s the Gulf and the big piece of driftwood.
Love these photos of James & Eisley…
This photo was taken by James. I love it, we look like Island Girls. We have flowers in our hair, that was Robyn’s idea. 🙂 Great pic James. Please don’t take my job. ha ha. On a side note, I’m not sure why Robyn, Eisley and I were holding rocks…Hummm, what? why? I forget. Anyways, Eisley wins…she had the biggest rock. LOL.

Robyn, James & Eisley…you guys know how much I LOVE you. Thank you for supporting me in my endeavors…thank you for believing in me, encouraging me and trusting me to document the beautiful family you are. Muahhhhh…xoxoxo!

wow wow wow and …wow! cassandra absolutely gorgeous images of a beautiful family!!!
I love these photos!! Such a great location too!! You are just so talented girl!!
beautiful shots! what a cutie!
thanks to ALL you guys for your kind words. much appreciation! @brad…as you can tell I shoot 99% candid shots, so I do not try & get little kids to pose for me. I believe the images unposed reflect a more natural & true side. And yes, I think Eisley was clueless as to what I was doing which makes her photos that much more powerful. I shoot all my photos on location too, no studio stuff.
these are great and waht a beautiful family!
Even better than the first set! Great shots, and always so tough when the main subject is clueless as to what the goal is! Well done!
beautiful! love um!

Holy heck, girl…you ROCKED THIS SHOOT! I am seriously IN LOVE WITH EVERY SINGLE ONE. If this was my family and a paid session, I’d be in trouble because unless you gave me the CD I’d be blowing my savings by buying them ALL!!!!!!!!!!!
