And who better to sing the National Anthem than the one & only Ms Huxsie Scott!!!! She had the crowd cheering, and pumping their fist in the air when she was done. As always, her voice and her passion when she sings sends chills down my spine. LOVE you HUXSIE!

Yes I was standing in the run zone, but that was just to get a few photos at the start of the race. I wasn’t there to shoot in a professional capacity. I was there to walk with and support my dear friend’s Mom, Ms Susan. So although I brought my camera, I certainly didn’t look like a professional as I turn my camera to “AUTO” (yes I said auto) and then raised my camera above my head & started aiming randomly into the crowd. I was standing on a curb and didn’t have the best vantage point, but again I wasn’t there trying to be a photographer . . . I was there as a walker (with a camera ha.ha.) Please excuse any out of focus images . . . ha ha.
This little pup just melted my heart. I didn’t take Mocha because I heard they were expecting 5,000+ people and I thought the crowds might be overwhelming for him. But this lil’ pup seemed to be happy and I quickly tried to snap a pic.
WTOC‘s Meteorologist John Weatherbee was walking. He’s the tall guy with the beard!

OK, I know I was supposed to be walking, but really could you pass this without stopping to take a photo? I think not. Too cute!
This was the house where the flamingos were. The staircase was decorated beautifully as well.
Here’s a few photos of some of the scenery. It is so nice to have such a beautiful city to walk through.
Baby Katherine has gotten big since I last took her photo . . .
Strolling by the LUCAS theatre.

There were a lot of wonderful pets that participated . . .
I didn’t get very many photos of the cool outfits, but there were tons of people dressed to support.
