Tammy + Walter | Wedding

We became instant friends when we connected on Facebook…Tammy & I. She had booked me for her & Walter’s elopement here in Savannah and from the first message she sent me, I knew I was going to love this girl. We continued to build a friendship over the months, writing about our daily lives and her excitement about being a bride. By the time I met her in person, it was like meeting an old friend. We laughed, talked and bonded at the Gallery Espresso, while Walter sat patiently listening to every word Tammy said. She told me of how they’ve known each other since they were in Kindergarten. Over the years they built a strong friendship, which eventually led to them falling in love.

Below are some of my favorites from their elopement…

The day was emotional for Tammy…here she reflects on a photo of her & her Dad.

I love this image of Tammy! Girl…YOU are GORGEOUS and your smile truly reflected the happiness & joy that was in your heart.

Walter was very handsome and cool as a cucumber. He was so wonderful to let me snap a few quick photos of him beforehand.

Tammy & Walter got married in the gardens at the Kehoe House in downtown Savannah. If you call the Kehoe, you will probably speak to Connie on the phone. She is AMAZING and super nice. If you’re planning an elopement or a garden wedding, you’ll be directed to Cristin. I can’t say enough awesome things about Cristin, she goes over & beyond to make everything perfect for her couples.  Also, a big thanks to Reverend Steven Schulte who officiated the ceremony.  He was wonderful and even had me laughing beforehand.  Rev Steven completely put both Tammy & Walter at ease before the ceremony with his kind voice and funny humor.

The cake was made by Minette Rushing of Savannah Custom Cakes. It was a red velvet cake with edible fondant and although I was busy & didn’t get to taste it, there were praises from everyone around.

After their ceremony, Tammy & Walter took a horse & buggy through the streets of Savannah. I met them at Forsyth Park for a few intimate photos together.

Tammy’s favorite flower is the sunflower. Her bouquet was just another thing that kept her smiling.

I love this photo…

Walter is very tall, but Tammy has no problem reaching him for kisses.

Tammy…you are fierce! Love you girl.

Tammy’s hair was done by the professionals at B Street Salon.

This sign hangs on the back of the buggy…
