I simply fell in love with Irene from our first phone conversation. She talked about her fiancé, Cary and her kids and his daughter. She talked about their wedding and their love. She talked about their commitment as a couple to make family a priority. Family was very important to her and I could tell it wasn’t just a wedding for her & Cary…but a union of them & their kids. We spoke for awhile and I knew I liked her. A bride who was deeply and passionately in LOVE. A bride who was excited about marrying this amazing man. A bride who, with all her heart, believed she was the luckiest girl in the world. And I knew I liked her for all these reasons and more. As we continued to connect over the months, we exchanged many lovely text messages and even a few photos (via our iPhones) of dresses and shoes. It was like we were friends, who had never met, but friends just the same. She lived in Michigan and I in Savannah, but we simply connected over family, shoes, dresses and her wedding. I finally got to meet Irene & her fiancé, Cary for lunch and they were both AMAZING. Not just amazing . . . but A-M-A-Z-I-N-G with all capital letters~! Two of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Two of the most considerate people I’ve ever met. Two people who are truly & genuinely IN LOVE . And I was blessed to document their Wedding Day.
Here are a few of my favorite images from Irene & Cary’s Wedding at the gorgeous Palmetto Bluff, Bluffton SC.
Photographing the shoes was quite epic for me. Jimmy Choo…….YES PLEASE!!!!! Irene, I smiled so big when I saw these.
Cary gets two awards from me. #1 The fastest groom to get ready on his wedding day. AND #2 Looking absolutely amazing in 100 degree heat & never once complaining. Thank You Cary for enduring the heat so I could get some amazing photos outside.
Cary and the guys all wore grey Calvin Klein tuxes. NICE . . . very, very nice~!!!!
This is definitely one of my all time favorite bride shots EVER~!!! Irene, you are absolutely stunning. GoRgE….gorge…GORGEOUS~!
Irene and Cary got married in the Chapel at Palmetto Bluff. Love this place. The light was gorgeous.
Irene’s daughter, Layla, did a special reading and it was one of the highlights during the ceremony.
We took a couple family pics out on the lawn around the ruins. I love these next two photos.
There were signature drinks and lots of great food at cocktail hour.
Irene & Cary were able to sneak away for just a few photos and it was lovely. In all the heat & humidity, they still looked Amazing. And never once did they complain about the insanely hot temperature outside. THANK YOU guys for being so wonderful . . .
Irene, you have such a great laugh. I love these pics.
And this next image is probably my most favorite of the day. love. love. love. love. love.
Irene’s youngest son, Max, even made me a S’more out by the fire pit to finish off my night. thank you Max~!
