My first trip to Italy. Catania, Sicily to be exact. I wish I had stopped immediately and written down my first reactions, but instead I immediately grabbed for my camera. It is the way I document what I see and feel. I am sure my images will not do justice to the beauty that surrounded me, but maybe it will give you an idea of what I saw. My first few hours there were late afternoon and it quickly began to get dark, but I was able to snap a few photos. I have a ton more to share from my trip but wanted to get a few posted today.
This is what I saw as we made our way through the Piazza. It was every bit as overwhelming as it looks . . .
Below are more random photos from my first hour walking around . . .
All my images from inside the churches are shot using only the natural light. I didn’t want to use a flash inside any of the churches, so I didn’t even take it on my trip. The paintings on the ceilings, the architecture & details inside were breathtaking . . .
More images to come . . .
The churches of Catania are stunning! I could stare at some of those ceilings all day. Looks like it was an amazing trip Cassandra. Thank you for sharing all the detail shots with us.
Awesome pics- Ready to see more.
