Mariah + Medgar Wedding : Forsyth Park / Vic’s on the River

Mariah and Medgar . . . AWESOME people.  Simply put, they are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and after meeting their parents at the wedding, I understood more about the good morals & values with which they were both raised.  I first met Mariah when I did her BRIDAL SHOOT last month and to say she was GORGEOUS is an understatement!  She was beautiful on the outside, but getting to know her I quickly realized she had much more beauty on the inside.  A very intelligent young lady who is also a perfectionist, like me and I liked her for this.  She also has impeccable taste & style, I immediately fell in love with her dress and wanted to take it home with me.  (just kidding)  But I did really love it . . . a lot!

Mariah and Medgar were wed in Forsyth Park and here are just a few of my favorites . . . starting with the dress, of course.

I had to grab a quick photo as Mariah was getting her hair done and simultaneously making her own wedding bouquet.  I call this multi-tasking and I do it everyday, but she is obviously a pro because her bouquet was beautiful when she finished.

Mariah isn’t big on make-up, of course if I was as gorgeous as her I probably wouldn’t be either.  She wanted a natural look, which will still show off her pretty freckles.

I first met Medgar on the day of their ENGAGEMENT SHOOT.  He was a bit more shy than Mariah, but their personalities balanced each other out perfectly.  Just as intelligent as Mariah, Medgar is definitely driven for success.  As the Director of Strength & Conditioning for a well known University, Medgar clearly has big plans for the future.  I am sure he & Mariah will accomplish great things together as partners in life.

I really love this image of Mariah’s Dad walking her down the big path in Forsyth Park as they headed toward the fountain.

During the ceremony, pouring of the sand . . .

I really love the white roses Mariah choose to decorate the tables.  There were both long stem and short white roses in glass vases.  love love love!  Mariah even did her own programs the night before making sure every detail was perfect.  Mariah, you are like Super-Bride . . . girl, you need a cape, not a veil.

Introducing Mr & Mrs Medgar Harrison!!!!

Love this photo I snapped of Medgar.  It shows how HAPPY he was just moments after.  (I was smiling too Medgar.)

Medgar’s daughter was fixing Mariah’s hair for her.  Ahhhhh, toooo cute.

One of my favorite images of the day . . .

And I love this photo too . . .

You guys are way too fabulous!!!!

Besides the great rock on her hand, Mariah is sporting her freckles as well.  LOVE!   Girl you are flawless!

I didn’t have to tell Medgar to tote her dress, he just did.  Because he is a gentleman like that!

Mariah & Medgar choose to have their reception at Vic’s On The River.  SWEET!  A thank you to the staff, they were all exceptionally nice!  Much appreciation for their kindness, this was the first time I’ve photographed a reception there and it was a great experience for me!

Getting back to Mariah having exquisite taste . . . here is their cake.  (And yes, I purposely photographed it to the right side)

On the balcony at Vic’s, you can get a great view over Riverstreet.  There’s not a lot of room to photograph, but it was a must-have picture.

And I saved another one of my favorites for last.  Here you can barely see the Talmadge Memorial Bridge in the background.  LOVE!

Mariah & Medgar . . . You guys know how much I love & adore you!  Thank you for trusting me with your wedding photography.  It was so GREAT to meet your family & friends.  I know your Parents & Grandparents are very PROUD of both of you!  May God Bless you both and your marriage always.  (Also, I will have your Day-After shoot to post very soon!)

PS . . . A big huge THANK YOU to my dear sweet & wonderful friend and part-time photographer, Shannon Byous.  She came out to help me since there were 4 locations I needed to shoot at.  It was the very first time I’ve ever had a second shooter help me.  I’ve always done everything by myself and worked non-stop all day.  Having Shannon there was great…so THANK YOU SHANNON!  I love you girl bigger than the world.
