MOCHA #5

YES…Mocha is now 5 years old. WOW. Even though I wasn’t here on his birthday, which has never happened before…I was with him in spirit. Mostly he just got EXTRA everything, so I could make up for being on my trip and not with him. Extra kisses…extra snuggles…extra belly rubs…extra playtime…extra TOYS…yes, more toys! In my defense, it was his birthday. :))

I did take some time off from work to spend outside with him and he was so adorable, I had to grab my camera. (I do have some amazing photos from my trip to Hawaii and will be sharing them later in the week…but had to post these photos of Mocha for now.)

Here is Mocha and he is 5.

A new purple toy from Auntie Lydia because she loves purple.

This is one of the rare shots of Mocha actually looking right at me. You will notice that most of his photos are from a side profile. Not because of me, but simply because he refuses to look right at my camera. He is so very, very smart…he will see me trying to take his photo and he will turn his head away. If I slowly lean one way, he will slowly turn his head the other way..it is like we are two magnets pushing each other. He does this all the time and it is so hilarious to me now. Although he has a beautiful profile shot, I still like to trick him into looking right at me. I think to get this shot I said the word “treat” and he was quick to look right at me. (YES, he got a treat!)

I love this photo. Although I didn’t have my Canon Mark II N that has a really fast shutter speed, I still grabbed a couple shots with my Canon 5D Mark II. I just really like the movement in this image. Mocha SHAKES his toys and it makes me laugh so hard. This was a long toy and was harder for him to shake, but he made it work. And I laughed uncontrollably as I tried to take a few pics.
