When I was first contacted by Mitch, we planned a family shoot over on beautiful Hilton Head Island. We discussed including his daughter’s boyfriend, Beau in the family shoot. Well, a couple weeks before the shoot Mitch contacted me and asked if I could capture some photos as Beau proposed to Magan! It would be a BIG surprise for Magan, as she did not know this was going to happen. My reply . . . ABSOLUTELY~!
Our plan was to do the family shoot on the beach at Hilton Head, so I scouted things out several days before & then went early the day of the shoot. I figured Beau didn’t want to propose on the beach with a crowd of on lookers. So I walked & walked looking for an appropriate area near the beach, although there were not many private areas. And after some wishing and a prayer or two, I stumbled across this amazingly COOL tree. YES~! I knew it would be perfect. However, it was on private property, so I did get permission from the owner to take a few photos. I had planned to use Magan & Beau as my guinea pigs to “check the light” and get a “good spot” for photos. This was his cue that he could pop the question when “he was ready”. And he did! *Check out the slideshow link at the bottom to see how things progressed.
